Cold Open And Family Banter
SPEAKER_07Hey everybody, welcome back to Set and Sun. Uh Margin. I'm Mark. You think one time like I could be Mark? Would that be weird?
SPEAKER_06Uh no. I mean it's a pretty cool place to be.
SPEAKER_07Mark? Yeah. It's not bad. I'm just gonna mark that in the audio and take it out. Uh and uh once again in studio, um, listening and watching in is is my mother uh visiting from Arizona. Uh feels like she'd been here about a month. If you'll get the how many episodes she'd been on. Uh but yeah, I think she's I think she's enjoying it. Not to speak for her, but uh no, you don't have to. Oh my god, you're unmuted. Oh shit. We're messing with a board when I was in here. Yeah, you know. Um I could have been doing something useful like uh getting rid of Harley.
SPEAKER_04I did do that.
SPEAKER_07Uh and yet squeaks out.
SPEAKER_04Well, I didn't get rid of him permanently.
SPEAKER_07That's what I meant.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, oh sorry. I missed that.
SPEAKER_07So welcome back to the podcast. Um, you again before this one, you watched us do another one.
SPEAKER_04I did.
SPEAKER_07And did you just about lose your damn mind like I did?
SPEAKER_04Well, it was kind of fun watching you just about lose your mind. No, I didn't.
SPEAKER_07Oh, I can't.
SPEAKER_04I understood what was going on, I just couldn't say anything.
SPEAKER_07That I think I I think I probably knew that you probably did, and that made it worse for me. Probably. Oh, Mark. What? Oh, Mark. Oh Mark.
SPEAKER_04All together now. Oh, Mark.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Uh yeah. Those of you who listen to all the episodes and uh have listened to the previous episode will know exactly what I'm talking about. Unless uh at some point during that you you did what I wanted to do, which was rip your headphones off, throw them across the room, or maybe beat Mark with your microphone.
SPEAKER_06Don't tempt me.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04To beat yourself?
SPEAKER_06Easy now. Easy.
SPEAKER_04Mark. Mark.
The Infamous Caulk Story
SPEAKER_07Mark. Can we let's let's let's try. You know, can we try to have like a clean let's let's talk about uh something different, Mark. Okay, let's go for it. Yeah, so my mom was helping me with the water, like the raptor pen, right? Right. One of the things was get the water thing working, and there's a couple leaks. So when you when you came in tonight and you walked up on the deck, the first thing he said to me is like, why is your big cock sitting on the table? Yeah. Yeah. Uh simple explanation though, is I I had to, you know, seal a water leak over there, and I needed I needed cock. And like I told you, I said I I was in the mood for big cock on this particular occasion.
SPEAKER_06See ya you see you cut a bigger hole in it then, right? To get more cock out.
SPEAKER_07Well, you just push harder, actually. Oh, yeah, okay. I actually have this vibrant or this uh battery-powered thing that it uh really squeezes that cock. So I mean it comes right out. I it's one of those things where it it takes a while, you kind of have to keep going, keep going, and then all of a sudden it just shoots right out of there.
SPEAKER_04Are we gonna talk about lucky again? I hope not.
SPEAKER_06I was just wondering if the cock gun made a face when it before it before you squeeze the trigger.
SPEAKER_07Um okay. No, and back to what you said, Mom, was uh first of all, the last time you mentioned Lucky, I was trying to do everything in my power to not have you live through that and you went there.
SPEAKER_04I know, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_07Secondly, uh the gentleman, me and Mark, who are normally idiots, but we had a gentleman's agreement that we weren't gonna talk about Lucky's giant cock anymore on this podcast. Right? Yeah, I guess I didn't know. Well, uh before you were here, observing. Though, to be fair, you did not necessarily agree to that as a podcast guest. Correct. You were an observer. Correct. So just Lucky's dick all night long, if you want.
SPEAKER_04You know, just do with it. It all spales.
SPEAKER_06You know, I actually had a buddy of mine that listens to that, listens to this pop podcast with uh Beach Bum Leather that says, I can't believe that you guys went there.
SPEAKER_07Beach bum leather?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's what he does on a side thing. I didn't want to say his name, so I just what he what he calls his went where? Where did I go?
SPEAKER_04Where did you said your buddy was amazed when we went there?
SPEAKER_07Well, hold on, let's pause. Do you see my struggle, Mom? I do, honey. I'm so sorry. And you actually welcome to Christina's Warway. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, Christina.
SPEAKER_07It is my struggle, or mine comp for so not to overstate it at all. Yeah. I don't want to be dramatic.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_07Uh no, he said your guy with the rawhide thing, or I can't remember what you said, but he said, I can't believe you guys went there. Where do we go? Uh talking about Lucky's parts. Oh, that was so like diplomatic how you put that.
SPEAKER_06Well, you said we had to clean it up a little bit.
SPEAKER_07Uh yeah, sorry.
Setting Boundaries On Running Jokes
SPEAKER_06And then your mom goes, Lucky stick. Exactly.
SPEAKER_04I don't believe did I actually use that word?
SPEAKER_07Uh I I actually don't remember. But I will defer to Mark on memory-related things generally, so I'm gonna say you did.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Yeah. I apologize.
SPEAKER_07Right. So yeah, I mean, I'll be honest, I can't believe we went there either. However, uh, when you're talking about salient details, it's it's highly relevant to the ranch.
SPEAKER_04Yes. It is? How?
SPEAKER_07How so something we have to deal with. It's there. Nobody knows. And we yeah, there you go. It's there, and uh sometimes you have to be aware when he gets his humpy ears. Oh that it might come out, and you need to like say no and make no stop. Yeah, you had still haven't seen it. Thank God. Yeah, if you do, you will understand why it comes up. Oh, jeez.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04I was Mark is still in the studio, by the way. Yeah. Oh but you're phrasing there.
SPEAKER_06I love when you're here, ma'am, because you just take it away from me. By the way, Ryan's mom does not like me calling her ma'am. Yes, that's true. That is true.
SPEAKER_04So shall we keep track of how many times he calls me ma'am during this podcast alone?
Who Is Robbie
SPEAKER_07No, because then he'll just do that. Oh, okay. Yeah. Or I won't. I know. I know. I know. Um, no, and you know what, Mark, props props for you on uh telling the listeners uh that's just sort of a recap, right? Because like we talked about, not everybody listens to every episode, and sometimes we gotta give background on things. So I appreciate you letting people know that uh like how basically that you were being a dick when you called her. Yeah. Um Robbie. We were talking about Robbie before we came in here, all of us. Yes. Uh and Robbie Robbie has wanted to be on the podcast. He he says he really likes the podcast. I don't believe he's listened to any of it, but probably not. Yeah, he says he likes it. And people that have listened know that Robbie is a hoot and a half and just a lot of fun. And uh, you know, this if I'm doing my math right, I think this may be our tenth episode. So maybe as a special occasion. Should we see if we can get Robbie on the pod?
SPEAKER_06We should, but should I I think so, but we for those that don't listen to every episode, who is Robbie?
SPEAKER_07So that's gonna be your thing now. Um just kidding. That's a good question. Um, who is Robbie? That's a deep a little bundle of delight. He is uh Robly uh well I think people who have listened to all the episodes probably piece it together, but Robbie's my nephew. Um his name is Robbie. And for those of you who listen, again, to piece it together is the son of my brother Rob, um, my younger brother. And he I've I've been fortunate enough to spend um a lot of time with Robbie out here on the ranch. Uh and he and he loves it out here on the ranch. And so because my whole family loves it, uh he's come out here with his dad several times, he came out here with my mom, uh, and he's always he's always looking forward to the next trip. And it's always a lot of fun. And we all I mean we always talk about the Robbie stories, and uh so that's Robbie. Um, how'd I do with that? He did good. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER_06Anything you want to add? No, uh-uh. I think he's a great funny kid. Yes, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04One thing I think you left out that's very important, and that is that he's 13 years old.
SPEAKER_07Yes. Uh is that I'm very important.
SPEAKER_04Anybody that's ever had children have been around a 13-year-old.
Phone Fumbles And Call Setup
SPEAKER_07Well, yeah, that's a fair point. Like, so he's at an age where, you know, uh he's kinda going from kid into a little man, and it's uh really all joking aside, which we joke all we give him a lot of shit, but all joking aside, he's turning into a really cool l little man.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_07Yep, yeah. So we'll see if we can get him on here. Let's see. I've uh now. Let me let me let me get a little more background on Robbie. Uh he hardly ever answers my text or phone calls. Um so this is this is a thousand percent a crapsheet right here. But we'll see if we can see if he'll answer the phone uh and kind of go from there. I just have to remember how to use the phone again. Uh it's number six over here. And it's unmuted, I believe. And yeah, all right. You're not gonna do your dead air thing again. No, uh uh uh it's always my fault. It wasn't. That was I compliment. Well, no, I actually didn't that time. Oh, there was one time where you made just a sound or something. I'm like, thanks for filling the dead air bud. Yeah, that's what I'm here for. Dead air is filling. Okay. Um, and uh also, mom, I I think a fun thing we talked about doing is like we're not necessarily gonna tell him that you're here. Right. And for those of you who are doing the math on this, that would be his grandmother, glamma. Yes. So his glamma will be in the room with a mic uh to keep him in line, though he won't know that going into poor little guy. I know. Here we go. Hear that? Yep. I do. Okay. Hello? Hi. Oh, hey, I called the wrong number. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_07Alright, I'll talk to you later. Bye, Rob.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Jesus. I just I saw that was Robbie's dad for anybody that didn't know Rob Robbie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Is it my turn?
SPEAKER_07So so that's Rob. Yeah. You all heard uh Hughes on a previous episode uh for about that long, actually. Yeah. So we got cut off. All right, uh, you know, it's really inconvenient you named his son the same as him.
SPEAKER_03It is.
SPEAKER_07Alright, here we go. Rob's gonna be so mad if he hears Robbie's phone.
SPEAKER_03Hey.
SPEAKER_07Hey, what's up?
SPEAKER_01Hey, what's up?
SPEAKER_03So you said like an hour ago uh what hold on, let me see it. Oh, he said, uh, is your phone charged? And I said, yep, 52, and you didn't answer back.
SPEAKER_06Are you still at 52, Robbie?
SPEAKER_03It's at 65 now.
SPEAKER_06Oh, good, good.
SPEAKER_07Oh, good, good. Okay. Oh, Robbie, are you speaking?
SPEAKER_03Robbie, are you on speaker? No.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Um hold on, just hold on for a second.
Robbie On The Line
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Uh mute that, I think. I think can you hear me, Robbie?
SPEAKER_03Can you hear me, Robbie? Yeah, I can still hear you.
SPEAKER_07But it's not echoing now, right? With him muted. Yeah, I know. I've necessarily talked to you.
SPEAKER_03You want me to pull on the speakers?
SPEAKER_07No, no, just chill for a second, but let me try to figure out what's going on here. What's going on here? Um let me call you back. Let me call you back.
SPEAKER_01Alright.
unknownAlright. It's weird.
SPEAKER_06Now he's running out of rock.
SPEAKER_05Did you hear up, Robbie? Did you have up, Robbie?
SPEAKER_02No.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_07Hold on.
SPEAKER_05Hold on.
SPEAKER_07Okay, can you hear me now, Robbie? Hello? I don't know if he he hung up or oh, he's still there. Okay, so it's this one, I guess. Why is it echoing?
SPEAKER_03Speaker right now.
SPEAKER_07What?
SPEAKER_03For me, it sounds like I'm hearing through your speaker.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah. Uh what's going on here? Um headphones or anything.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Okay. I'll I'm gonna call you back. I'm gonna call you back. Hang up.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'll hang up.
SPEAKER_07Thank you. It's the big red button.
unknownWhat the heck?
SPEAKER_04I don't know. That was everybody was hearing that words.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but we didn't hear it with we didn't hear it with Rob.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, just with Ryan or whoever talked.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Too many R's in your life, huh?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Yeah. I think Robbie might be doing something. Well, I don't know. Just like he says it's not on speaker, but you know, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Uh does he know what you mean when you say speaker? Maybe he thinks you're talking about speakers.
SPEAKER_07Oh my god, probably. Okay, let's try this again. You're probably right. Now, here's the thing, listeners. I'm not uh a mean uncle. Robbie is uh one of the smartest kids I've ever met. I can be a little bit of an airhead sometimes. So that's whatever. Okay. We'll try this again.
SPEAKER_03All right.
SPEAKER_07Hey.
SPEAKER_03Now it doesn't sound like I'm trying to be a speaker.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, uh well, we've solved one problem. Uh hold on.
SPEAKER_03What is happening?
SPEAKER_07I'm talking to you. Just give me a second, okay? Okay. Yeah. No. All right. You can hear me? Yeah. Okay, so you were on speakerphone last time, weren't you?
SPEAKER_03No, I wasn't. I said it sounded like I was like I was listening through a speaker.
SPEAKER_07Okay, uh uh agree to disagree. Um Do you know I called you the episode? Yes. So C is smart. Yeah. There's your buddy Mark. What's up, Robbie?
SPEAKER_03What's up, Mark?
SPEAKER_07Not much, bud. What do you what are you doing right now, bud? Did you have a plan? Um uh we were just talking about how you really wanted to be on the podcast, right? And you're excited about it, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And you really like the podcast, right?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07And you've listened to how many episodes?
SPEAKER_03Uh like about two.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah. I was just kind of messing around with you. Um, so what uh did you have uh in mind what you want to talk about?
SPEAKER_03Like uh like some fails I had. You some mess-ups. Failed? Yeah. No. Like uh mess ups.
SPEAKER_06You've never messed up. Listen to that voice start to crack. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Like what have you ever messed up?
The Broken Fishing Rod Confession
SPEAKER_03Uh there's this one time when I was at the pond, like you were uh like away for a bit. And uh you gave me this new rod. It was uh like red and all that. Yeah, the fishing rod, yeah. Okay. And I got stuck in the weeds. Then I tried to pull it out, like pulling the rod, and then I snapped it in half.
SPEAKER_06So you broke the new r new fishing pole?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Out of boy. Out of boy.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna I'm gonna call bullshit on you because I recall you were fishing with said rod and you got a little frustrated and slammed it into the ground and broke it.
SPEAKER_03Uh no, he was he was away with Kai, like in the Sabai Sab nearby uh lake in the fort.
SPEAKER_07No, I'm talking about you.
SPEAKER_03I heard that I thought you'd Yeah, yeah, I was nearby the lake.
SPEAKER_07Okay, did you change the subject on me? I'm saying you didn't it didn't get broken caught in the weeds. You got frustrated and yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I I was I said he caught he got caught in the weeds.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_03Then I got frustrated. Well that I broke it in the half.
SPEAKER_06Oh, then he broke it in half. Okay, now I get it. Yeah, uh am I the only one who's hearing a completely different story right now, Mark? Uh yeah. No, actually, I I I see where Robbie's changing his story a little bit. Yeah, yeah, he didn't want he didn't want you to remember that he messed up and he broke it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Uh I thought you could put one over on me, bud. Um is this how you want to introduce yourself to uh to America and the world? And the world.
SPEAKER_06Hey Robbie, you gotta do me one favor. Yeah, well, you need Hey, once once we get done, you need to go out there and tell your dad that you were on the podcast before him.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. Suck it.
SPEAKER_07You know, are you where are you in your room right now?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I am.
SPEAKER_07Okay, where's your dad?
SPEAKER_03I think my dad is probably outside in the kitchen right now or uh in his bedroom.
SPEAKER_07Oh, okay. Yeah, it'd be funny.
SPEAKER_03Oh, tell him right after someone.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I was gonna say it'd be funny to just walk through the house, you know, and as you talk to us, and when he asked you screaming at the top of my logs, I'm almost on the podcast.
SPEAKER_03I was on the podcast.
SPEAKER_06And stomping. Don't forget you're stomping.
SPEAKER_07You gotta be really casual.
SPEAKER_03Just walk through the podcast.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, and then when your dad asks you, wait, who are you on the phone with? Like, uh, I'm sorry, sorry, dad, I can't talk right now. I'm on the podcast. Robbie gets such a boot out of messing with his dad. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_03Like uh just two minutes ago, I I walked into the kitchen to throw away uh one of my like a piece of food that I just ate, and I walk up right behind him while he's doing something. I go to the side of him, and then I absolutely scare the crap out of him. The the glee in your voice me in the back of the head as well.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, undeservedly, yeah. That is funny though, or as Robbie would say, some good shit.
SPEAKER_06Uh we gotta have him on here all the time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07You know, at least you bring something to the to the table, Mark.
The Jeep That Wouldn’t Shift
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I'll bring a lot to the table.
SPEAKER_06Thanks for covering for me, Robbie.
SPEAKER_07Oh my god. What uh what other what other shit did you in trouble or I'm sorry, not trouble, but mess up. You know, you know I expect you have a whole list of Robbie failures you want to talk about, right?
SPEAKER_03Well, um I noticed one time when not. Ryan, you probably will know this.
SPEAKER_07Um, hey, now we're about to with uh with uh hi just because you're an internationally famous podcast guest now, it doesn't mean I'm not still Uncle.
SPEAKER_06Um Uncle Ryan. He hit 13, he no longer has to call you Uncle Ryan.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay, okay. I just gotta call you Ryan then.
SPEAKER_06No, sir. No, sir. Nope, Uncle Ryan. Uh it's respect because he's old.
SPEAKER_03It's Sir Ryan the Third now.
SPEAKER_07I'm I'm fine with that too. Uncle or that.
SPEAKER_03It's Sir Ryan III.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Sir Ryan III. Yeah. Uh okay. What was your story?
SPEAKER_03Well, this relates to you, Ryan. Um got that. You already know this. Um I'm in the deep with Kai and all that.
SPEAKER_07The deep?
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm playing uh playing song and all that, and then as the drum comes in, you're gonna hit the second gear and then push it as fast as you can. Then it doesn't go on the second gear. I'm like, what is happening? It looks like I was just reading it. Then you come over, you're like, you don't keep it in first gear the whole time.
SPEAKER_07Like he's made me sound so mean.
SPEAKER_06I don't think so. For anybody that doesn't know, Robbie has his cool little Jeep that he needs to talk about, but he runs it around in first gear and forgets. To shift the other gears.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Is that the story you were talking about when you like it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you've told two stories and you've lied in both of them because you were welcome to welcome to adulthood, Robbie.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no. What I'm trying to say is that it was in first gear for a very long time.
SPEAKER_07I understand that part.
SPEAKER_03And I was trying to play a song that had a very hard drop in it, and then once that came, I was getting put in second gear and then rev like go down really fast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I try to change the gear in it, and then it just stops.
SPEAKER_07Right. Two things. What song?
SPEAKER_03Uh 8011 Oklahoma.
SPEAKER_07Good man. Uh second thing. If your version of the story is tr is to be believed, then that would be the first time you ever attempted to shift out of first gear.
SPEAKER_03Silence.
SPEAKER_06That's how I always knew that Robbie was coming over to the property and it's a Jeep. You could hear it like we hear you from all across the ranch.
SPEAKER_03You just hear the loud sound of and we'd always sit there like on shift.
SPEAKER_07Shift. Come on, shift.
SPEAKER_03Oh boy, here she comes.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, you almost broke that damn Jeep without because you didn't shift.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. But you'll shift next time you come out, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Lie number three. Oh. Oh.
SPEAKER_02I make still a box. That was good. Yeah. Walked right into that one.
SPEAKER_03The good part about it is that me and Ryan uh all the time we just talk on the porch for hours and hours on end.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03For for like until like dawn.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, sometimes thoughts on the world, and you know you're sort of a philosophical fella. Um, I believe you speculated one night about the origin of cigarette. Or uh he moved. Stop moving.
SPEAKER_03Um, I say like who made the first cigarette. Yes, and I said, damn, that's some good shit. Robbie!
SPEAKER_04Became like the famous What are you saying? Did you just swear on national podcast?
SPEAKER_02Where did you come in? Yeah, where did I come in?
SPEAKER_04I have a sensor.
SPEAKER_07Oh hey, Robbie.
SPEAKER_04We need to add the sensor bar into this.
SPEAKER_07Oh, because yeah, well, Robbie, there's two things. Um, one, oh yeah, glamour's here.
SPEAKER_04Hi, Sunny Boy. Second thing, boom.
SPEAKER_06I think I can see him glowing from here being so embarrassed. Oh, yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. As long as I already have you embarrassed, I need to say one more thing to you, young man. Oh, you didn't, huh? Well, you never know where I'll be, and you never know what I'll know.
SPEAKER_07Stick that in your pipe and smoke.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I want to tell that's not good.
SPEAKER_03I forgot when that you were that you were there with them.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I wondered. But I want to say one more thing and then I'll let you talk with your Uncle Ryan, and that's what I wanted to address.
SPEAKER_03He is not really Ryan this time.
SPEAKER_04No, he's actually Uncle Ryan. You know why? I'm a civilized man now, okay? No, civilized calls him Uncle Ryan. You wouldn't call me by my name.
SPEAKER_07Men's shift gears.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Men's shift gears, that's right. Okay, so from now on, he's Uncle Ryan. That's a very honored role for him, and you are very honored to be his nephew, so you refer to him as Uncle Ryan, okay? Okay, okay, sweetheart.
SPEAKER_06You're supposed to say yes, ma'am.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yes, ma'am. There you go. This is getting out of control. Mark, uh I am here with you in person. Yeah. I know I never got my back to you. I'm scared. You should be.
SPEAKER_06Back to Robbie, back to Robbie.
SPEAKER_07Um, yes. Yeah, so uh you've lied three times.
SPEAKER_03And oh my god.
SPEAKER_07In front of your grandma. In front of your glama.
SPEAKER_03You gotta be kidding me.
SPEAKER_07And this is well, here's another surprise. This is actually live on the air right now. Oh, well, you broke up. Hello.
SPEAKER_03Uh little Uncle Ryan.
SPEAKER_07Yes, very, very, very, very nice. No, I said that this is live on the air. You didn't know what.
SPEAKER_03Didn't know that we were live on the air. Didn't mention it like two times in a row.
SPEAKER_07Oh.
SPEAKER_03International, by the way.
SPEAKER_07Yes.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03You say except for Vietnam.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, except for Vietnam for technical reasons.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01Vietnam. Technical reason.
SPEAKER_04That was hilarious, Uncle Ryan.
SPEAKER_01Oh, gosh.
SPEAKER_04Well, thank you.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Um, so uh I I I'm with your track record so far, I'm really interested in hearing uh uh another story.
SPEAKER_03Um see here you only have two stories. You mean three?
SPEAKER_07No, well you no the second one was Mark Tracker.
SPEAKER_03Right now, three. Right now, three.
SPEAKER_07No, that wasn't a story though, but three lies.
SPEAKER_03I kind of was now okay.
SPEAKER_07We'll call it three stories.
SPEAKER_03I thought talking when grandma came in.
SPEAKER_07Oh, well, yeah. That's a story for everybody else. Oh god. All right. Um do you have another story?
SPEAKER_03I mean, we kinda well we kind of were basing this whole episode on really because I have to have short-term memory loss.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Short-term memory loss at 13. Well, you know, he's 13 going on 70. Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there, there. Uh you guys are short-circuited for a second.
SPEAKER_07Are you talking to somebody else?
SPEAKER_06Are you on two podcasts at the same time? Yeah, he's doing two.
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_06One national, one international.
SPEAKER_03You guys he's short-circuited. I'm trying to say I couldn't hear you guys from it.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah, we've had a a few technical issues with this phone call. Uh I I they're all, I'm pretty sure they're all your fault, though. Um just um well, uh, so you've listened to a couple episodes of the podcast. Thank you. I appreciate I appreciate that you like it.
SPEAKER_03Um the bumblebee one, that's for sure. The b booby.
SPEAKER_07The bee booby.
SPEAKER_06Behave.
SPEAKER_07What uh what what part of that one did you like?
SPEAKER_03Uh most mainly Mark talking about the B movie, mostly I guess.
SPEAKER_07You're just afraid to say you're just afraid to say bestiality in front of Glamour, aren't you?
SPEAKER_03It's hard to explain, you know.
SPEAKER_07Uh no, it was pretty easy to explain, actually. Uh so we know what word grabbies looked out. As long as you say it like that, it's fine because we're not saying the actual bee word. We're saying uh yeah, we're not saying the actual bees. Yep.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, we're just talking about bumblebees, you know.
SPEAKER_07Exactly. Well, no, regular honey bees.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Um, so yeah, I'm glad you enjoy it. Um I uh it you like the name of the podcast?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's not what I heard. Well, you Robbie, you th you thought you had a different name for in mind for the podcast that you suggested.
SPEAKER_03Huh?
SPEAKER_06Yes? Do you remember?
SPEAKER_03No, I don't.
SPEAKER_06Oh, we're back to short-term memory loss.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I am. I'm not a short-term memory.
SPEAKER_07First of all, nicely done, Mark. Secondly, really? You're gonna pull that one after the last episode? Okay, where you about drove me crazy.
SPEAKER_06It's not a far, it's not a far try for it.
SPEAKER_07It's not.
SPEAKER_06What what was it, Robbie? What was your uh what was your name?
SPEAKER_03I I completely forgot.
SPEAKER_06Something about cowboys. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I'll well, okay.
SPEAKER_03I'll uh yeah, yeah, we can't uh talk that on the podcast or we're gonna need more sensor bars.
SPEAKER_07No, it's not no. Oh, maybe I Are you sure?
SPEAKER_03Are you sure?
SPEAKER_07Okay, do you remember let me ask you a question? Do you remember what you suggested of the podcast show? Yes, I know, I know what it was.
SPEAKER_03There was something about cowboys.
SPEAKER_07Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03Five of them.
SPEAKER_07Two. Two?
SPEAKER_03Two. Two.
SPEAKER_06Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_03You mean three.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but yeah, Robbie's on here now.
Set And Centered Explained
SPEAKER_07Okay, all right. Robbie, hold on. You can you can say it, it's okay. But before you say what your name suggestion was, let me give a little background for the listeners. So I was uh I I texted with Robbie and I said, Um, hey, you know, uh, do you want to be on our uh on our podcast? And you're this is before we had started it, and you were like, Yeah, what kind of podcast? And I said, Well, me and Mark are doing a podcast about, you know, he and I around the ranch and working with the dogs and stuff, and uh Robbie said, Uh, you should call it Two Naked Cowboys. Oh, god dang. What it was two gay cowboys.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Which was really funny at the time.
SPEAKER_07Yes, it was really funny.
SPEAKER_04Two gay cowboys.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Um and we didn't even know to say it's war. Yeah. Uh well, I have one. Next time you try to say shit in front of your glamma again.
SPEAKER_06Silence. They call that dead air, Robbie. We're not allowed to have that.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, you can't have dead air.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. I know.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay, so let me let's back up because I think the the the thing was is worth doing right. So I'll do it since you couldn't remember your own thing. Um, so I said, Yeah, Mark and I are doing a podcast, two of us out on the ranch. And immediately you were like, Oh, cool, you should call it two gay cowboys.
SPEAKER_04Did you forget that really, Robbie? Did you really forget that?
SPEAKER_07Oh, it does, does it? Well, since since you went there, I'm gonna go here. Let me tell you what makes a whole lot of sense tonight. We should call it three gay cowboys.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_06Three gay cowboys and glamour.
SPEAKER_01Jeez.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, well, that was a really funny suggestion. Um, ultimately, we did not go with that. Um, though.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, luckily. I like I like the the name uh set and centered.
SPEAKER_07Thank you. Yeah, we do too. I will be totally honest with you that if we had called it two gay cowboys, we probably would have grown an audience much faster. Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Welcome to the Woke Report.
SPEAKER_04Ryan, does he know what set and centered refers to, what it means?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh Uncle Ryan told me.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he did.
SPEAKER_03Uh it's for like a train code type thing.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03Like uh keeping the train parked so it doesn't go off.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You remember keeping it set and centered. There you go. Yes.
SPEAKER_07There you go. Um, so you appreciate the irony of us saying that we are set and centered.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because they most assuredly are not, right?
SPEAKER_03They're uncentered and uncentered.
Counting Lies And Short Memory
SPEAKER_06Yeah, this train can go off track at any moment.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the trains just go off track. They're not going on the track, they're going off the track. Yeah. They're going into each other.
SPEAKER_07It's never there to begin with. Uh, have you listened to um the theme song?
SPEAKER_03Uh it's been a pretty long time.
SPEAKER_07That's interesting since it's at the end of every episode.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Uh are we gonna call that lie number four? I I would call it lie number two.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_07Write it down.
SPEAKER_02Just counting how many times I lie.
SPEAKER_07I wish I didn't have hash marks here on it. Well, I mean, I'm gonna say this. Uh this is it hurts me more than it hurts you to have to keep tricking. I didn't know I was gonna go into this, uh having to keep, you know.
SPEAKER_03Look, short-term memory rots is hard to handle, okay? Uh yeah, but it's you know, it's amazing how I can't forget what I ate two days ago.
SPEAKER_07I I know you got you got a very similar ADD kind of brain to me. I I get that. But short-term memory loss is a little different than entirely changing your story two seconds after it's been pointed out to be not true.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but I'm I'm dead serious. I forgot what it sounds like.
SPEAKER_07I'm now uh in my head struggling with whether I want to get into an argument with a 13-year-old uh on a podcast and get a lot of like hate mail.
SPEAKER_06It's like that and you're gonna lose. That's the other part is I would lose that argument.
SPEAKER_02Because I do. I know you do, but you just won't accept the fact that I do.
SPEAKER_07I do accept it. I'm just giving you a hard time. Yeah, you don't have to, you know. I'm just fucking with you. Oh, wait. All right.
SPEAKER_04Young man, do I have to talk to you?
SPEAKER_06And they worry about me.
SPEAKER_01Oh goodness.
SPEAKER_07Okay. There's there's your sensor bar, but um, oh wait. Okay. What am I waiting for you? Uh don't don't if you're trying to play a sound effect on your phone. Don't play a sound effect on your phone. Is that what you're gonna do?
SPEAKER_03I I I can't.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Good. Okay, that's what I thought you were gonna do. All right, you want somebody to say what?
SPEAKER_03Uh can we talk about the good things that are the I done?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, sure. And we're done.
Robbie’s Wins: Marksmanship
SPEAKER_03Uh that's for sure.
SPEAKER_07Uh you know what? Uh we'd have to have a whole episode, honestly. You've done a lot of good things. Um, and we were talking before we came on, or before we called you. Uh just how awesome you are and fun and smart, and uh, you know, watch we're all getting to see you turn into a a a great little man.
SPEAKER_04Very true, very true. Robbie, you've done so many things right, and you're such a fun, good kid.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Okay, now we got grandma the glamour down for one lie. How many do I get, Mark? Five.
SPEAKER_01Okay. That's great.
SPEAKER_04Robbie, what do you think? You you you said talk about some good things you've done. What are some good things you've done, but from you? What do you think your good things are? I'm interested.
SPEAKER_03Uh I I I have a very good shot, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_07Uh shot. Yeah. Oh, that's right. He has a very good shot um uh with firearms and the crossbow we learned last time. Right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Very humble.
SPEAKER_03Or if we're talking about like very close to the target.
SPEAKER_07Well, with the crossbow, yeah. But yeah, with the crossbow. I I know, I just said with the crossbow. Um, I know that you I are you running the podcast? Do you have the board in front of you? Hmm. All right. So no, you were uh with the with the rifle, the 202 rifle, um, really, I think it was probably thirty Glamour you were there, 30, 40 feet. Yeah. Pretty I mean good distance.
SPEAKER_04Yes, it was.
SPEAKER_07You were blowing that thing to hell.
SPEAKER_04You really was.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Really good natural shot, which of people that don't uh necessarily shoot, it's hard to shoot accurately consistently. Yes. And he has never had to have been taught. He's just has he's just done it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was like after one second of holding the gun, I feel like a peasant at the start of it then just turned to a master after shooting bottom.
SPEAKER_04Is that right? Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_07Did we add humility to a little bit?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, humility needs to be the top one.
SPEAKER_07Very humble.
SPEAKER_06I can't help you, Robbie. Because he just keeps on digging that hole deeper and deeper. Oh, I thought you were gonna say because it was the big word, but yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, dude, that's pretty bad if you've if you've gone so far off the track, so to speak, that even Mark's not willing to do that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's really bad. I just realized that's really bad.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of that, uh one time uh I was shooting the uh the sawdown shotgun. Yeah, then we hear this other gun shot in a distance, and then Ryan uh says that's gotta be Mark for sure.
SPEAKER_06Who was it?
SPEAKER_03Mark?
SPEAKER_06No, who then who shot it? No, no, no, no. You said the wrong thing again, Robbie. It's not it. It's not Ryan, it's not Ryan, it's Uncle Ryan.
SPEAKER_07Uh Uncle Ryan. I think uh we're gonna take it. It's at least for now, it's his Royal Highness Uncle Ryan.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07All right.
SPEAKER_03Uh Royal Highness said that must be Mark.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, just say the Royal Highness thing. I really like that. Yes, so we you were shooting, and and for the listeners, we are not irresponsible. It was not a sawed-off shotgun. It was a uh low gauge. Yes, it was a low gauge 410 double barrel shotgun. Uh so you shot it, and then I said, What or what so you heard another gunshot, right? And I said it must be Mark, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there's a uh another gunshot on the distance.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, and so that was that your story?
Shotgun Booms And One-Upping
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Mark, did you actually gun?
SPEAKER_07Oh, say that again Mark.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but yeah, I was I was shooting my gun. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Because I want to know who that was.
SPEAKER_07You knew you knew it was him.
SPEAKER_03I I didn't know if it was actually him.
SPEAKER_04His highness told you it was.
SPEAKER_07Well, I did now, but no, I'll I think you may have just forgotten, Robbie, because uh, I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Short-term memory loss. This would be a little like me. Okay, and I was trying not to go there, Mark. Um do you want to just like fight with Mark for a minute? No. No, I'll tell you what happened actually, because uh you you we started shooting that shotgun, we were kind of taking turns, and then Mark across the road, he was shooting, I think, his handgun. And that's because Rob, your dad's Oh, I thought he he was shooting the the old uh rifle that he had. No, he wasn't. Um but that was yeah, that was cool. You remember that. Oh, he uh, by the way, you found the ammunition for it, Mark, right? Yes, and he said that he said next time you're out, he he'll let you shoot it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, after you learn how to shift gears in the Jeep.
SPEAKER_06So when you're 21. So when you're 21, you'll be able to shoot that gun, Robbie.
SPEAKER_03Excuse me? I'm the master of guns here.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but not the master of shiftaries.
SPEAKER_03If I can shoot a double barrel shotgun, a pistol, and a rifle, I can shoot an older rifle, but if we can't nobody's questioning your mastery of firearms, yeah, you can't shift.
SPEAKER_07Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_06It's all it's all based on you can't shift. Welcome to the podcast. Yeah, he's Mark.
SPEAKER_07He's RJ.
SPEAKER_02I've got some insanity.
SPEAKER_07Oh my goodness. No, here back to that you're shooting the thing. Because it was funny. Um, uh, so Mark was shooting his handgun, and your dad, he said, he goes, Oh, Mark, that fucking one upper. He's gonna shoot his gun. And we all were kind of laughing about it. So I think at the time you knew it was Mark, and I'll tell you how you remember how you when we pull both triggers and be like that boop, boop, boop, boop, big boom.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that that reflection shot, like boom.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it was crazy. Uh, I just remember you shot last and kind of Mark was shooting here and there between us shooting, and then when you shot the last time you did with both both barrels, of course, we were there helping you brace this so it wasn't dangerous. Um, but you shot both barrels, huge boom. A few seconds later, you go, Well, that shot Mark up.
SPEAKER_03Did he say that or did I say that?
SPEAKER_07You said that.
SPEAKER_04Boy, you're funny, aren't you? You're hilarious.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, kill yourself. The great thing about having a poor memory is you can crack yourself up over and over. That's right. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Um hey, bud, this is this has been a lot of fun. Um, I'm glad. We got you on. We're we're pretty much out of time though. Um I think there's a lot of there's a lot of fun stories that uh people probably love to hear. So I'm sure we'll have you on again. Um do you as uh do you want to help me mess with your dad a little bit before we let you go?
SPEAKER_03Uh I don't know if my dad might have the time, but he he's been in a big uh a little cranky mood tonight.
SPEAKER_07Oh he has?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, with uh with Kai.
SPEAKER_07Oh, perfect. So here's what we're gonna do.
SPEAKER_03Oh, perfect.
Respect, Titles, And Teasing Dad
SPEAKER_07Here's what we're gonna do, okay? Um You're gonna You're gonna go take in the phone and be like, hey, uh hey, I was just on the podcast and Uncle Ryan wants you to get on the podcast now. Okay. And then after a few seconds I'll be like, oh well, sorry Rob, we just ran out of time. I'm gonna drop him. Yeah, let's walk out again. You just walk up to you find your dad and say, hey, uh, Uncle Ryan wants to talk to you on the podcast. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that's it.
SPEAKER_03And then hand him the phone. Then hand him the phone.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_03I don't know if he's sleeping or not.
SPEAKER_07Uh yeah. Well if he is, then I think you have a contender for. What?
SPEAKER_03Uh he's asleep. Okay.
SPEAKER_07Alright, well, uh go get a broom or something. No, no, no. Uh go back to wherever you were so you don't.
SPEAKER_03We'll grab a truck guy stuck in the light.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, go back to your room so you don't wake him up. Uh yeah, so we'll we'll mess with your dad another time. Uh you know, you and I just both love it so much. Uh messing with your poor dad.
SPEAKER_03But yeah.
SPEAKER_07Alright, but this was a lot of fun. Yeah, we were out of time, so we're gonna have to wrap the show up. Uh so we have to let you go.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Uh it's nice to be on the podcast. Maybe I could be coming.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, we'll we'll sit down and we'll see. We'll evaluate your performance.
SPEAKER_06We'll just see what our two listeners say. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Uh when will this uh episode be released?
SPEAKER_06Um, wow. On the day it's released, Robbie. Correct.
SPEAKER_03It's like it's kind of like the it's kind of calendar date, Mark. A day.
SPEAKER_06Robbie, it's like the internet. When Uncle Ryan gets around to it, he'll turn it back on. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_06Oh boy.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_04Nobody remembers that.
SPEAKER_03Like, do you have to edit it all that?
SPEAKER_07Uh uh yeah. I mean what what's your what is your expectation that like I hit the stop button here and it gets published?
SPEAKER_03Well, oh yeah, I want to hear why you're gonna.
SPEAKER_07You have to beat around the bush, you could just ask to hear it. So ask.
SPEAKER_03It was nice uh talking to you guys and squirrel.
SPEAKER_07Squirrel. Yeah, um, uh it was great talking to you too. Um I I'm gonna give you the opportunity to give one last barb or something to Mark if you want.
SPEAKER_03Hey uh, Mark. Yeah, but nice shooting.
SPEAKER_07Uh, thank you, sir. I appreciate it. That was cute. Very very nicely done. Uh Glena, say bye or anything to Robbie.
SPEAKER_04Yes, bye Robbie. Thank you for being on the podcast. I loved listening to you laugh. You have a great laugh.
SPEAKER_03I loved uh listening to you too. I love being on this podcast, but uh I wish I could be on the again.
SPEAKER_04You're natural.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Maybe maybe I can bring uh a guy with me. That'd be nice of you.
SPEAKER_06We don't know if we want him on the podcast yet or not, to be truthful.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, maybe, maybe.
Wind-Down With Robbie
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Well, with regard to that, definitely, you know, tomorrow or if he wakes up later, next time you see him, just just make sure he knows that you were on podcast for a full episode and he had and he wasn't. Alright, bud. Uh have a good night.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_07Night, Robbie.
SPEAKER_04Night, love you.
SPEAKER_03Bye. Bye too.
SPEAKER_07Love you too, your highness.
SPEAKER_03Uh love you too, your highness.
SPEAKER_07That was fun. It was. That was a blast. I don't think we need you anymore, Mark, because one of your big things is you have a great laugh. See, it is. I love it, but I think we found a better one.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. 13-year-old kid just took my job.
SPEAKER_07Right? Oh, not the first time, huh? No, uh-uh. Well, uh, yeah, we are way over time. Um, so yeah, we're gonna have to duck out of here. Mom, I'll give you last words if you'd like.
SPEAKER_04Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this.
SPEAKER_07Are you even more proud now having your grandson on here? And uh well, probably not because he's a f- Well hold on, because he's a liar and he swears. Calls me by my first name.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_07He swears.
SPEAKER_04Actually, it was really fun.
SPEAKER_07It really was. So much fun. Yeah, he's a great kid. He really is. Little man now.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_07And I I know now, I wasn't sure what we were gonna get. Because we've I mean, kind of putting him on the spot. Uh people are gonna love it. People are gonna love him.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_07So this may end up being called Three Gay Cowboys.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that'd be a great episode.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Or maybe we'll just be called one gay cowboy because he'll take over. We'll just be like, uh, are your levels good, sir? All right, well, that's it, and super good time. Catch y'all later. Have a going.
SPEAKER_06Hey, it's Mark here at Set and Centered. Uh, just want to let everybody know that if they want to catch us on the socials, you can catch us at our webpage, setcenter.live, or on Facebook at SetCenterLive. Uh, we'll maybe post some little stupid videos that we've done, stuff like that as we keep on going. And also, we talk a lot about the animals here on the ranch. And you can we'll post pictures of them. We'll see how it goes. Let us know. Have a good one.
